Constructed a 3D CAD model of a FiberCells Bioreactor for a PhD student in the Department of Bioengineering at Imperial College. Since the manufacturer does not provide any schematics, everything was measured and drawn up manually on Solidworks.
The digital version of the bioreactor would allow for the biomechanics of fluid flow to be simulated on a computer prior to physical experiments. Additionally, custom components for the bioreactor can be quickly designed to fit the existing model and rapid prototyped for experimental use.
