Short film, made in collaboration with Lawrence Barraclough and Isabel Syrek for Takram Academy's two-day workshop on 'Re Imagining The Perfect Human' - a reinterpretation of Jørgen Leth’s classic film.
The workshop aimed to analyse how narratives and aesthetic qualities can be used to propose alternative and imagined worlds for human interaction. Following an analysis and deconstruction of the original film, the team decided to develop the notion that there is no perfect human, only the possibility of a perfect moment between humans. However, this film aims to explore how the perfection in these moments only exist transiently, and any observation, documentary, or reflection of such moments highlights their editability for social consumption, rendering them either imperfect or incomparable.
Additionally, the workshop helped develop skills in filmmaking and editing, of which I previously had none.
